Villa Almerico Capra, known as "La Rotonda," by Andrea Palladio

Welcome to the official site

“Perhaps architecture has never reached such a level of magnificence” (J. W. Goethe, after a visit to La Rotonda on September 22, 1786)

La Rotonda is more than just a building. Over time it has been visited by artists, sovereigns, diplomats, scholars, and travellers from around the world. Even after 500 years, La Rotonda is still a place of beauty, culture, and joy. Its sense of harmony and grace inspires all who visit.

Perhaps the most celebrated of Palladio's works, La Rotonda is a UNESCO World Heritage Site grouped with the "City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto."
